EtchImage — Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using EtchImage you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use

the app.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use

EtchImage on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the app store's terms.

EtchImage offers auto-renewing subscriptions (e.g., Pro, Verified, Team). Payment is

charged to your Apple or Google account at confirmation. Subscriptions auto-renew

unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends; manage or cancel in your

device's account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple/Google per their policies. Prices

may change with notice.

You agree not to:

use EtchImage to record anyone without the consent required by your jurisdiction

(many places require all-party consent for audio/video);

capture in places or ways that are illegal (e.g., unlawful surveillance, trespass);
attempt to forge, spoof, or falsify captures, location, or Verified Capture records;
reverse-engineer, resell, or abuse the service or its infrastructure.

You are solely responsible for how and where you capture, and for complying with all laws.

EtchImage's stamps and Verified Capture make a file tamper-evident — they help

show a photo or video has not been altered since capture and that its time was not set by

a device clock. They are NOT:

a legal guarantee, certification, or notarization;
a warranty that a capture is admissible as evidence in any proceeding;
proof of what a photo depicts (e.g., a photo of a screen is still a real capture).

Location and time accuracy depend on your device, signal, and operating system and may be

imperfect. **Do not rely on EtchImage as sole proof for legal, insurance, safety, or

financial decisions.** You use verification features at your own risk.

You own the photos and videos you capture. We own EtchImage, its software, brand, and the

verification service. The "EtchImage" name and logo are our marks.

EtchImage is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent

permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any

claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the prior

12 months or USD $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

You may stop using EtchImage anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of

these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to

conflict-of-laws rules. [Confirm venue with counsel.]

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes means you accept them.
